My Story

Some years ago, I decided to work with New Bridge - a charity that supports people in prison - as I realised that I had had an upbringing full of love and lots of educational opportunities, and many people do not have that. I also believe that people need second or third or many more chances! I go into prison as a befriender, to provide a listening ear and a friendly face on a regular basis. I have learnt so much.

So, at the age of 71, I will be "slogging" (slow jogging!) the London Vitality 10k - a 10K route taking in many of the capital's most iconic landmarks - culminating with a finish in front of Buckingham Palace. My aim is just to finish!

I'm aiming for the sympathy vote and playing the pensioner's card(!) so I would really welcome any sponsorship.
